ISC English 2 Question Paper 2013 Text
ENGLISH
Paper - 2
(Prescribed Textbooks)
(Three hours)
(Candidates are allowed additional 15 minutes for only reading the paper. They must NOT start writing during this time.)

Answer one question from Section A and four questions from Section B. In Section B choose questions on at least three textbooks which may include EITHER Shakespeare's Macbeth OR Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion.
Note: You are required to select questions on one play only,
EITHER Macbeth OR Pygmalion in Sections A and B.

Question 1
Choose two of~the passages (a) to (c) and answer briefly the questions that follow
(a) Duncan : Whence cam 'st thou, worthy thane?
Ross : From Fife, great king,
Where the Norwegian banners flout the sky
And fan our people cold.
Norway himself, with terrible numbers,
Assisted by that most disloyal traitor,
The Thane of Cawdor, began a dismal conflict,
Till that Bellona's bridegroom, lapp'd in proof,
Confronted him with self- comparisons,
Point against point, rebellious arm 'gainst arm,
Curbing his lavish spirit. And to conclude,
The victory fell on us
